Vanilla JavaScript CSS Animation Project

Create a Logarithm Calculator

In this course, we use simple HTML, Vanilla JavaScript, and CSS animations to create an application that will calculate and recalculate logarithms and exponents. Logarithms are used in many fields of science, but the calculations are difficult. For example, we know, intuitively, that 10 to the power of 2 equals 100, but if we wanted to know to what power we need to raise the base 10 to to arrive at another odd number like 60, we would need to use a scientific calculator. In this course, we will use vanilla JavaScript to create a function that will calculate and recalculate any logarithm to any base simply by entering the numbers in an HTML field and tabbing away.

What you’ll learn

  • In this course, students will learn how to apply CSS animations and JavaScript to create a logarithm calculator.

Course Content

Vanilla JavaScript CSS Animation Project

Requirements

  • A basic understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript is recommended for this course.

This course will also apply CSS animations and transitions to toggle back and forth information about the logarithm formulas. The point of this course is not to teach or enlighten anyone on the logarithms. Rather, this course is all about using front-end web technology, vanilla JavaScript, CSS with CSS animations to create a useful application. After taking this course, you will have the skills to use vanilla JavaScript to write your own functions and create your own unique calculators.

If you take this course, you will not regret it.
