Azure App Services for Developers

Requirements

  • Basic software development needed.

In this fast-paced era, both individuals and business are adopting cloud technologies at a breath-taking pace, and Microsoft Azure is often the choice for most of the medium-sized to big organizations. In cloud application development and day-to-day coding activities, developers often miss the real depth of how their application will actually reside in the cloud including some critical technical aspects.

This course is structured with a focus on addressing this issue. In this course, ‘Azure App Services for Developers’, you will have a comprehensive view of core services Azure provides in their Platform-as-a-Service offering.

Some of the major topics that I have covered in this course include:

  • Web Apps – that lets you deploy and host your web applications into Azure
  • API Apps – that lets you host your APIs into Azure and make them discoverable
  • Function Apps – that lets you write small independent pieces of code to perform some specific tasks
  • Mobile Apps – that lets you deploy the backend of your mobile devices into Azure

At the end of this course, you will have a firm understanding of utilizing core Azure services in different business scenarios and you will feel comfortable and confident in programming the apps/APIs/serverless functions/mobile backends for Azure platform.

What you need to know?

This course assumes that you have a fair knowledge of software development and you are already familiar with development tools such as Visual Studio, NodeJS and SQL Server etc.  If you are a cloud developer already working on some other PaaS offerings such as Aws Lambda or Elastic Beanstalk and want to move to Azure, then you are welcome to this course.

Although no previous information on Azure is required, but you should have an Azure account.
