When you enter a transaction withdrawal or deposit, the Excel file automatically updates the balance. You do not have to use a calculator. Two balances are shown – the anticipated balance and the reconciled balance.

RECONCILING WITH THE BANK IS EASY. Select “Y” when the transaction clears your bank and the reconciled balance automatically updates.

Place a checkmark next to the last reconciled transaction so you can start from that point next time.

INTUITIVE: A format similar to traditional paper registers is used.

Need to filter using a particular code – such as TD (tax deductible) when it’s tax time? No more fumbling through paper registers trying to capture those amounts. Use the Excel filters you are used to in order to gather these transactions.

NO CALCULATORS NEEDED! Concerned that you will make a mistake when punching in those numbers on the calculator? No more with this Excel checkbook register – that math is performed for you. Have you ever added a transaction when you should have subtracted? Has it thrown your balance off? Much easier with this Excel file. This course walks you through how to use this spreadsheet, and also includes the Excel file as a download as part of the course.
